Its Wacky Wednesday!

by on May 22nd, 2013 at 10:11am in News

The Mini’s driver (or is that captain?) has a 6-hp outboard motor at his/her disposal, which should be perfect for laying some serious wake. Built by ACI Composites Inc., based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the floating Mini includes the same headlights, taillights, grille, steering wheel, badges, wheels and tires found on production models. The front wheels rotate in the direction of travel, to further the illusion that this Mini Cooper is driving on water.

I shouldn’t have to say this but, Don’t try this at home

Did You Know?

by on May 16th, 2013 at 8:29am in News

Did you Know MINI Designed a vehicle for the British military?

A utility vehicle intended for the British Army was built with a twin-engined 4-wheel-drive. Although the 4WD Moke could climb a 1:2 gradient, it lacked enough ground clearance for military use. The single-engined front-wheel-drive Moke enjoyed some popularity in civilian production. About 50,000 were made in total, from 1964 to 1968 in the UK, 1966 to 1982 in Australia and 1983 to 1989 in Portugal. The Moke was marketed in holiday locations such as Barbados and Macau, where they were also used as police cars.

MINI Mythbusters – Myth Confirmed

by on November 14th, 2011 at 11:46am in News

YouTube Preview ImageThe MINI WRC team just finished their last race of the season. Dani Sordo and the rest of the team put on an excellent show and placed in 4th in the UK. Great job guys!! Next year the podium will be ours! I thought this would be an excellent time to address a myth that I’ve seen popping up on the Internet. There has been a myth thrown around the Internet that the MINI can actually fly. Some completely disagree with this myth and I’m here to show you the video footage that actually confirms this myth. Warning this may be a shock to some viewers but the MINI CAN FLY! No CGI used here.

Another Day , Another Podium finish

by on October 10th, 2011 at 10:41am in News

In keeping with the motto “Another Day. Another Adventure.”, with which the MINI brand enjoyed success at the Nürburgring 24 Hours at the end of June, the latest spectacular performance from the MINI WRC Team means you could almost say: “Another Rally. Another Podium Finish.” Third place at the Rally Germany and the runner-up spot in France are proof of the upward trend being set by the MINI WRC Team, which is notching up one highlight after another.
