I gotta say, not really interested.
Just like the crossover (Crossman?) MINI seems to forget what they make: the Cooper. The Clubman is a logical extension of that, and it basically looks the same, so that’s not a problem.
But, I’d never exchange a Cooper for that, unless I could sell it for 2 Cooper S’s.

I think MINI embraces the fact that they have a brand that people genuinely love and enjoy – BUT a MINI Cooper does not fit into everyone’s lifestyle. The Clubman was indeed an extension of the pure enjoyment that comes with a MINI. Personally I couldn’t be more excited for the new crossover. I am and have always been an SUV/SAV girl. I have loved and admired the MINI but it was never the SUV I’d become so acquainted with. A MINI – that comes with the knuckle whitening, tight turns, the brand that so eloquently says fun but also in a “larger size” – is something that I may now enjoy.
I don’t think that MINI is losing sight of their values or traditions but that they have created a brand that everyone should experience and enjoy whatever their lifestyle!

Now I just may have to put off the JCW R57 Convertible I was thinking about getting. Saw the Speedster the other day o Motoring File and said about time.
